Memphis Social Media Marketing Professional

THANKS  FOR  ALLOWING  ME  TO  INTRODUCE  MYSELF

Welcome to LMCB Social! I'm Lisa Creswell Busby, founder of LMCB Social. As a native Memphian, I enjoy promoting Memphis and the people and businesses of our fine MidSouth area. If you are reading this, first of all thank you! Second, I really hope I get the opportunity to help your business grow in the world of social media and learn more about you.

Besides running LMCB Social, I currently serve as the adviser for the Vice President of Communications for the Pi Beta Phi chapter at the University of Memphis and am an active member of the local chapter of NAWBO. Recently, I earned a Diploma of Distinction in Social Media Marketing and Online Reputation Management. I have also served on the board of the Sales & Marketing Society of the Mid-South as well as serving as the Social Media chairman for the group. When I'm not online working or playing with social media channels or volunteering, I'm usually found cheering my boys on from sidelines across the area.

Growing up here in Memphis, I graduated from Briarcrest and went away for college.  While at the University of Alabama, I studied communications before ending up at Ole Miss and graduating with a BA degree in Radio and Television. After graduation, I worked for the University of Mississippi in their video production center before taking a job back in Memphis as a radio traffic and news reporter. After a family move to Nashville, I went to work in the national headquarters of the Fraternal Order of Police as their Editor. While in Nashville my husband and I started our family. It wasn't too long after that we found ourselves longing to get back to our soulful hometown by the river - our Memphis home.

After settling back in the Bluff City, I gave birth to our second son. Even while staying at home with our boys for several years, I kept a pulse on what was going on in the world of media, public relations, advertising, and marketing. While serving as an alumnae adviser to the chapter of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Memphis, I was introduced to the world of Facebook. During that time, I also served as president and public relations chairman of a local women's auxiliary group. Through that volunteer work, I learned how much I enjoyed coordinating all things media together with public relations and marketing.

Following a stint in the auction department at WKNO and a hiatus to take care of my mother during cancer treatments, I started working as a social media manager for a local small business.

Working with social media marketing for small businesses or mid-sized companies allows me to combine my journalism background with my love for social media to help guide you through the ever-changing seas of social media.

I realize what it takes to move your business in front of the appropriate audiences and use social media as part of the overall plan to do this.

I would be delighted if you would connect with me on Twitter! Find me at @LMCBSocial or on my personal account at @ooburr.
